Remembering Mandela

One if the world greatest son went home yesterday. He was a remarkable man, with a great spirit. This man taught the world of how to change for the better and the power of forgiveness. It is easier to see how he changed South Africa, and forget how he did it. You have to look back in the early life of the man to see how much he himself had changed.
Nelson Mandela was once called a terrorist by Margaret Thatcher. The title he probably deserved depending on from what angle you are looking at. As it is so often one man terrorist is another man's hero. Madiba led an armed wing of ANC, and that's why Thatcher being who she was thought if him as a terrorist. But what a man had to do when he sees his people mowed down every day by the barrel of the gun? It was the armed struggle that got him life in prison.
Luckily for the Black South Africans, prison did not silence him. It has been said by various people who met him in prison of how much of a natural leader he was. He commanded respect even from the white prison guards. It was in prison that Mandela transformed himself. From the angry black man, to the courageous, patient, peaceful, and wise black leader. A man we now celebrate as the very best of human example.
For me personally, I will always remember standing on the side of the road for hours in Dar-es-salaam,Tanzania. Waiting patiently to catch a glimpse of him. There standing in the back of an open vehicle emerged two of the African best leaders side by side, mwl.Nyerere and Mandela. Waving at people. There were the two giants of African liberation struggles. This was the only time I saw Mandela in-person. I had met Nyerere quite a few times, and the two leaders were great friends.
What has stood out for me about Mandela was also the ability to say thanks without making too much noise about it. As a recognition of the country that sacrificed dearly for South Africa, the national anthem of SA changed and now it's similar to that of Tanzania. The relationship between TZ and SA changed from that of US and Russia during the cold war, to the best of friends. Today the two countries are not mingling in arguments about human rights but rather they share embassies in a lot of countries.
As the world take a step back and reflect on the life if this great human being. We all should take time to think, and ask ourselves, is there a Mandela in me?

Deals Deals Deals

It's that day of the year again, after a long wait it has come back around again. Black Friday, the day of getting all kind of deals in the stores. But let us be honest,Black Friday is the only day in the year that goods are sold at a price that are of their real worth.Do you really think these products can be sold for up to half a price without companies making profits? Do you think corporations are that thankful to your business?
People line up for hours and hours waiting to buy this television set for $400 off or that game console for $200 off, but honestly that is exactly what the item should have been sold for in the first place. I think these corporations sell that stuff away over priced. It's all about making a lot of profit, taking all the money of the little guy leaving them with a mountain of credit card debt.
People sacrifice their Thanksgiving meals just to wait for hours and hours to get an Xbox. What happened to the thanksgiving tradition of spending your day with your family and the loved ones? You can easily blame the people for the erosion of this tradition but why are they doing this? Would that be the same if stores opened up at 8am on the actual black Friday? Kmart opened up in the morning of thanksgiving day...did they have to that? Do they value their employees at all? Just think about it, this is just sheer madness.

Bound 2. What?

Welcome to my new blog. I figure it will be a rightful thing to point out that the name for the blog is inspired by a certain jackass but this blog site is not about him. At least for the majority of time. But for the start may be I can make a comment about him.
Have you seen the video from Kanye West Bound 2? Well if you have then you know by now that was kinda of video you wish to never see again. The video is terrible, the music is even worse. It looks like someone made it the video in their basement with the help of the blue screen. Some homeless guy probably made a couple bucks for the job of shaking the motor cycle. Kim Kardashian must be really itchy of making another sex video. I mean this was almost the best way that Kanye could make a porn without getting all naked.
The music is just terrible. I know he claims to be a genius but man... I make better music than this dude but I know it bad so I keep it to myself. There is no connection  between the chorus and the verses. The lyrics are just astounding bad, and please Kanye, leave Jesus out of it in your lyrics, you know he frowns every time you say his name. Bad reputation my ass, the only reason he acts out is because he knows nobody takes him serious anymore. I am pretty sure he spends his night crying "why nobody loves me" it's because you suck!!!!.
